Discussion Thread 1: The End Goal
Posted: Tue Nov 30, 2010 8:30 am
The reason why I thought about doing this thread was to utilize my down time to start learning a real skill. Given that I participated in a number of discussions online for my last class, I figure this may be a decent way of learning some web design. This is all about self learning, and should give us an opportunity to learn some fun stuff.
Towards that end, I think we should have a decent final (group) project. My initial idea was to create a full on front end for the guild. We've been around for three years, and we should have something out there. I know people have offered to do this in the past; however, the project has always stalled. Therefore, if we all agree to this format, we may be able to encourage each other to get this thing done.
As far as I remember, the web page should have the following things:
A Dossier on each active Rider
A Timeline of events
A calendar to keep us up to date
Links to Fiction
and a link to our forums.
The first discussion question: Does this make sense as a topic? IF it does make sense, what other features should we put into the page? If it does not make sense, then what should we do as a final project?
