What I may do is start hopping into game around 4pm-6pm Friday servertime each week, and seeing what sort of groups I can put together. Five to ten 85s can now do Wrath 25mans, fewer can do the 10mans or older legacy runs. That way we can corral whoever's online and keen, work out where we can hit, and go and stomp it. That way we can hit whatever's feasible that day for transmog' gear, achievements, what have you, as we have people to hit. And we don't need to have too much scheduling/rostering/etc to cramp people's weekends.

I need to confirm my plans, but I should be ingame all weekend this weekend (we're LAN partying at my best friend's place and streaming the Blizzcon feeds on her HEUG teev), and able to start tomorrow. I'll keep people posted.

EDIT: if people want my GTalk deets to assist with organising (or just in general), PM me and I'll give you my address.

If I'm around tomorrow, hit me up on gtalk.

Addendum: closer to 6 than to 4, for sure.
Now hang me by this golden noose
'Cause I never been nothin' but your golden goose
Silver tongue don't fail me now
And I'll make my way back to you somehow

I've got an errand to run after work, so I'll be on sometime closer to 5 server tomorrow.

Theoretically, these could be done cross-realm, couldn't they? I don't have an 85 on Feathermoon, but time permitting, I'd be happy to come along to a run or three on my 85 feral druid or my 85 priest (um... from Proudmoore).

I don't think the cross-realm grouping is supported for raids yet. (coming in 4.3) But we could try it if needed.

I don't know if it extends to raids, but I do know that we were able to do crossrealm grouping in instances that the Dungeon Finder wouldn't let us do (my 85s escorting 70-somethings through Northrend content) simply by physically getting to the instance portals and zoning in. By the way that worked, I would think it would function the same for raids, but who knows? I'm willing to do an experiment or two, if someone has some time to try it out.

The inaugural Impromptu Friday Night Transmog Run was a success. We hit Uld10 with six people, knocked it out in about two and a half hours, and got some achievements and transmog drops. Looking forward to more in the future!

Had a lot of fun last night, and am on my 4th cup of coffee this morning. So worth it though. I realized last night that Kyr only needs Naxx to get the champion of the frozen wastes title. Some cool transmog gear in there too, so I'm putting in a request to hit up Naxx sometime.

Okay, so I have no Saturday plans tomorrow, so will endeavour to be around for some more retro/transmog raiding. As with last time, come along around 4-5pm servertime, and we'll work out where we can hit depending on who wants where, and the number of people we have. I'd still ideally like to hit Uld25 if we can get the folks together.

To summise: oldschool instances/raids for the purpose of getting transmog' gear, cheevos and hard modes and the like are secondary.

If you're interested in being along feel free to ping me in email or GTalk or PM or what have you if you want me to make sure I'm expecting you.
