Through clever trickery involving both work schedules and finances, I am proud to say that for the first time since 2007 I will be in attendance for certain.

More than likely I will be dragging myself and co. from the frigid, inhospitable North, to this event.

I am very much interested in making it three years in a row. I've somehow managed to convince a nice woman to spend significant amounts of time with me, so I'm hoping to convince her to come along as well or failing that, to part with my company long enough for me to go. The current plan churning about in the back part of my brain is to get a couple of weeks off work and drive out via Canada, visit friends in Vancouver, come down for nerdery and drive back via the States.

I definitely want to go this year! My current job/pay is a lot lower than last year, so if anyone is willing to split a hotel room for the duration might be a possibility maybe? anyone let me know!

okay starting to form Feathermeet rock band - but actual band, not rock band. I can bring my bass and guitar. Tarq, you have a drum kit? I will start sending out tablature.

If you're bringing both a bass and a guitar, and don't mind foreign fingers plucking at the strings, I can give playing a try. I'm, uh, not very good, but hey, four months to practice? (I can also see about getting a new hard case for acoustic #2. The one I have probably won't do well on a flight unless I can get the buckles fixed...)

oh, serious question: should I investigate what it would require to bring the server blade over?
