Feathermeet 2009 early warning system

Post by Tarq »

atheThis just in: expect the fifth annual West Coast Feathermeet the weekend of July 11th-12th, with festivities commencing in Seattle on the date of When People Get Here and ending when the last of your sorry carcasses is carted out to the airport.

In previous years, Feathermeet has included:
-Five dozen pounds of dead cow on a grill.
-Sausage fights.
-Horrifically cute children.
-Prydion, the cake ninja.
-A package of hot dog buns used as a pillow.
-The 48-oz margarita.
-Winston Churchill's lesser-known brother William, and his fascist-destroying lazer eyes.
-A primary organizer getting sick every fucking year.
-More jelly beans than your body has room for.
-The Seattle Nude Cycling convention.
-Rogue hula-hoopers.
-Inability to identify basic fruits and vegetables.
-A round of drinks purchased for all from the other side of the globe.
-The cursed, all-devouring sun.
-And of course, copious amounts of alcohol.

You, too, could be part of this glorious history of self-abuse, social awkwardness, and unabashed public nerd-dom! Hie thyself to Seattle, Feathermoonies, and join the legend.

(More concrete details to come.)
Now hang me by this golden noose
'Cause I never been nothin' but your golden goose
Silver tongue don't fail me now
And I'll make my way back to you somehow

Current plan is for Skulley, Keltyr and I to be there, probably together.

Consider yourself warned

Annas are plotting and scheming, though after last years run-in with the Nude Biker Brigade...

If I can get there, expect another 2 dozen reeses chocolate chip cookies shipped by personal courier over 2500 miles. (and hopefully with less "baggage guy throwing bag and turning half of them to crumbs")

You need someone to make fun of you for thinking it's "hot" anyway.

I will so very be there, and I won't even have to drive for two days straight then eat a twelve-egg omelet to fuel myself this time!

Bah. You people all need to move to the other side of the damn country...or find me a couple of good jobs on the West Coast so I can get kidnapped out there. ;p

Guess I'll just have to be there in spirit. *crais*

What we need is a Texas Feathermeet.

Sometime not in July though >.>

I (and Tryston) will be there, rain, shine, or even GASP, having to ride amtrak again.

Maybe I can catch a ride with Skulley again? :D
