And hey, look at that, Anna's stealing a Great Big Sea song for herself:

"Walk on the Moon"

Is it just me or a message from above
Bells are ringing, push has finally come to shove
The door before me now is opened just enough
I’m sick and tired of waiting
For dreams that never come
Like a game I never played in
And still wish that I had won

I'm Alive
Got one shot and I’m taking it to you
I’m Alive
I’ve come to realize not a moment too soon
This is my one small step
This is my Walk on the Moon

Don't you think their hands were
shaking as that rocket ship touched down
I’m sure they shivered
when they finally touched the ground
The giant leap so fragile
that it hardly made a sound
But it must have been amazing
What a world they got to see
So I don’t care, my foolish fear
Won’t get the best of me

I don't know what this Decemberists song actually has to do with anything, but I think it's something Tarq is getting up to in his spare time. Also it's a frigging good tune.
Now hang me by this golden noose
'Cause I never been nothin' but your golden goose
Silver tongue don't fail me now
And I'll make my way back to you somehow

Going through my random 90s music I found this beautiful gem I had forgotten about. I wish I could fit it to Del, but it'll likely fit to someone else. I usually hate female vocalists too, but the accent hooks me.

The Cranberries - 'Linger'
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPLXJAWUnwI

If you, if you could return
Dont let it burn, dont let it fade
Im sure Im not being rude
But its just your attitude
Its tearing me apart
Its ruining everything
And I swore, I swore I would be true
And honey so did you
So why were you holding her hand
Is that the way we stand
Were you lying all the time
Was it just a game to you

But Im in so deep
You know Im such a fool for you
You got me wrapped around your finger
Do you have to let it linger
Do you have to, do you have to
Do you have to let it linger

Oh, I thought the world of you
I thought nothing could go wrong
But I was wrong
I was wrong
If you, if you could get by
Trying not to lie
Things wouldnt be so confused
And I wouldnt feel so used
But you always really knew
I just wanna be with you

And Im in so deep
You know Im such a fool for you
You got me wrapped around your finger
Do you have to let it linger
Do you have to. do you have to
Do you have to let it linger

And Im in so deep
You know Im such a fool for you
You got me wrapped around your finger
Do you have to let it linger
Do you have to, do you have to
Do you have to let it linger

You know Im such a fool for you
You got me wrapped around your finger
Do you have to let it linger
Do you have to, do you have to
Do you have to let it linger
<Fells> I SEE YOU DELIPON
<Fells> YOU'RE A KLITTY

Thanks to Yva for alerting me to this. I now have Mara Balthasar's themesong, whose title just so happens to be her title as well. (just replace the 'he' with 'she' and you get the idea >_>)

Within Temptation, 'Hand of Sorrow'

The child without a name grew up to be the hand
To watch you, to shield you, or kill on demand
The choice he'd made he could not comprehend
His blood, a grim secret they had to command

He's torn between his honor and the true love of his life
He prayed for both but was denied

So many dreams were broken and so much was sacrificed
Was it worth the ones we loved and had to leave behind?
So many years have past, who are the noble and the wise?
Will all our sins be justified?

The curse of his powers tormented his life
Obeying the crown was a sinister price
His soul was tortured by love and by pain
He surely would flee but the oath made him stay

He's torn between his honor and the true love of his life
He prayed for both but was denied

So many dreams were broken and so much was sacrificed
Was it worth the ones we loved and had to leave behind?
So many years have past, who are the noble and the wise?
Will all our sins be justified?

Please forgive me for the sorrow,
For leaving you in fear
For the dreams we had to silence,
That's all they'll ever be
Still I'll be the hand that serves you
Though you'll not see that it is me

So many dreams were broken and so much was sacrificed
Was it worth the ones we loved and had to leave behind?
So many years have past, who are the noble and the wise?
Will all our sins be justified?

A song for Tashyia:

Iron & Wine:

There are times that walk from you like some passing afternoon
Summer warmed the open window of her honeymoon
And she chose a yard to burn but the ground remembers her
Wooden spoons, her children stir her Bougainvillea blooms

There are things that drift away like our endless, numbered days
Autumn blew the quilt right off the perfect bed she made
And she's chosen to believe in the hymns her mother sings
Sunday pulls its children from their piles of fallen leaves

There are sailing ships that pass all our bodies in the grass
Springtime calls her children 'till she let's them go at last
And she's chosen where to be, though she's lost her wedding ring
Somewhere near her misplaced jar of Bougainvillea seeds

There are things we can't recall, blind as night that finds us all
Winter tucks her children in, her fragile china dolls
But my hands remember hers, rolling 'round the shaded ferns
Naked arms, her secrets still like songs I'd never learned

There are names across the sea, only now I do believe
Sometimes, with the windows closed, she'll sit and think of me
But she'll mend his tattered clothes and they'll kiss as if they know
A baby sleeps in all our bones, so scared to be alone

And just for sheer epic coolness with fiddles (very Arathi in my head): more Nightwish.
So if you meet me have some courtesy, have some sympathy and some taste. Use all your well-learned politesse or I'll lay your soul to waste.

Not too sure why, but this song has been in my head a lot since getting Wrath. My Dying Bride - The Cry of Mankind Perhaps just the title alone, but the song itself just has that epic-creepy feel the atmosphere of places like Naxxrama and Icecrown have been giving off.

So I actually went through previous suggestions and recent inspiration, and compiled a seventeen-song playlist for Tarq. This should be fun to listen to while RPing.

Been pounding away at Jolly's psyche lately.

'Man I Am' - SOiL

Why you build me up
Just to tear me down
Like a little used soul
Pitches straight to the ground
In this game
There's something I strive to be yet
I always fall in my shame

If you allow it in
Then the trip never ends
And what really could have been
In this life
There's something I've tried to be yet
It's fallen right out of reach

So you picked me up
On my feet again
And then again I'm the man I am
So you picked me up
On my feet again
Lost inside is the man I am

Time and lines again
I've tried so hard to be a man
Yet the pride slips through my hands

So you picked me up
On my feet again
And then again I'm the man I am
So you picked me up
On my feet again
Lost inside is the man I am
"I left my home where the dead never rose
But the streets of gold i've yet to find
And at the end of the day all you can do is pray
Without hope well you might as well be blind, yeah be blind
Tomorrow comes a day too soon"

A rhombus is the kind of rectangle a bitch would draw.
