What helps you write? What helps you instance? What do you like to just plain groove to? What songs inspire you to role-play your character? What songs remind you of some one else's character? Post musical things here! We love lyrics and we love youtube links even more.

I'll get around to a few more later, but to start with the song I finally settled on as most fitting for Ele's point of view on her new condition.

Nightwish - Nemo

This is me for forever
One of the lost ones
The one without a name
Without an honest heart as compass

This is me for forever
One without a name
These lines the last endeavor
To find the missing lifeline

<chorus>
Oh how I wish
For soothing rain
All I wish is to dream again
My loving heart
Lost in the dark
For hope I'd give my everything
Oh how I wish
For soothing rain
Oh how I wish to dream again
Once and for all
And all for once
Nemo my name forevermore

My flower, withered between
The pages 2 and 3
The once and forever bloom gone with my sins

Walk the dark path
Sleep with angels
Call the past for help
Touch me with your love
And reveal to me my true name

<chorus>

Nemo sailing home
Nemo letting go

<chorus>

((Destril and Then'liath have had this swiming around in my head lately))

Full Of Grace - Sarah McLachlan

The winter here's cold and bitter,
It's chilled us to the bone.
We haven't seen the sun for weeks,
Too long, too far from home.
I feel just like I'm sinking,
And I claw for solid ground.
I'm pulled down by the undertow,
I never thought I could feel so low,
And, oh, darkness, I feel like letting go.

If all of the strength and all of the courage
Come and lift me from this place.
I know I can love you much better than this:
Full of grace, Full of grace, my love.

It's better this way,
I said,
Haven't seen this place before.
Where everything we say and do,
Hurts us all the more.
It's just that we stayed too long
In the same old sickly skin,
And I'm pulled down by the undertow,
I never thought I could feel so low,
And, oh, darkness, I feel like letting go.

If all of the strength and all of the courage
Come and lift me from this place
I know I can love you much better than this:
Full of grace, full of grace.

I know I can love you much better than this.

It's better this way.

I've had this song in my head whenever I think about Destril's viewpoint on Then...leave it to me to go back to old Broadway musicals again. :)

"With You" from Pippin
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j09kYTjUNlE

PIPPIN
My days are brighter than morning air
Evergreen pine and autumn blue
But all my days are twice as fair
If I could share
My days with you

My nights are warmer than firecoals
Incense and stars and smoke bamboo
But nights were warm beyond compare
If I could share
My nights with you

To dance in my dreams
To shine when I need the sun
With you
To hold me when dreams are done

And oh....
My dearest love
If you will take my love
Then all my dreams are truly begun

And time weaves ribbons of memory
To sweeten life when youth is through
But I would need no memories there
If I could share
My life with you

My girls have different theme songs lately.

Skyborne's is the easiest. It's just very calm and happy and kidna goofy, and does a pretty good job of explaining her current goings on.

Seylon. Whiskey and cigarettes baby.

Indarra is always so damn sad in some ways.

And last but not least, Le Diva. This song, it is EPIC.
So if you meet me have some courtesy, have some sympathy and some taste. Use all your well-learned politesse or I'll lay your soul to waste.

I actually have a whole playlist for Bell on my ipod, but here are a few of the songs and why:

Nightwish's Seven Days to the Wolves is a very good reflection of her and Omen. Even moreso since the song is supposedly about cultists and mass suicide in the name of wolven gods.

This one pretty much speaks for itself. Bellesta would totally sound like a female Jeremy Irons.

Something a bit more in the 'trance' department, but Scooter's The Chaser is very close to Bell's code.
Example:
Vicious and clean, edge like a razor
Words to hit you-
like a laser
It's free the sweet one, the short and the brief one
I am the chaser.

Apparently, I never discovered The Offspring until this year, but my friend showed me this song not too long ago. It's totally my zombieinvasion themesong for Bell.

And finally, cannot end this without over the top 'metal'

Seriously, that song had to be written for Bell.

I put this song on my Threnn playlist months ago. I didn't know why; I just liked the quiet intensity of it, I guess, but the lyrics didn't necessarily fit.

I think now they kind of do.

Snow Patrol, "Run"

I'll sing it one last time for you
Then we really have to go
You've been the only thing that's right
In all I've done

And I can barely look at you
But every single time I do
I know we'll make it anywhere
Away from here

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear

Louder louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why you can't raise your voice to say

To think I might not see those eyes
Makes it so hard not to cry
And as we say our long goodbye
I nearly do

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear

Louder louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why you can't raise your voice to say

Slower slower
We don't have time for that
All I want is to find an easier way
To get out of our little heads

Have heart my dear
We're bound to be afraid
Even if it's just for a few days
Making up for all this mess

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear
