Peter Wolf - Midnight Souvenirs

MTV pretty much killed the J. Geils Band, but Wolf's been making some solid solo albums. This one is pretty freakin' good.

Evelyn Evelyn...

Another Amanda Palmer side project. Dunno what to think of it. On the one hand, the actual music is pretty good, with her trademark dark humor and drama-club angst. But the spoken bits (a history of Evelyn Evelyn, basically) are a bit heavy handed and slow down the flow of the album. Chalk it up to another case of "love the music, hate the artist."

I'm getting ready to sit down and listen to RATT's new album, Slash's solo album, Lita Ford's new album, and a band called Halestorm.
