Okay,

So with people expressing to us that they intend to try to do their own runs on Sunday and possibly Monday as well, we're deciding on going with Saturday for our test run. The time will roughly be 5:30-6:00 server, and run 4 or so hours to see how things work out.

Cabby and I are pouring over all we have signed up for Saturday now, and it's possibly looking like we may have healer troubles, but I'll be posting soon with what we have so far.

Our list so far is as follows:

Tanks:

1. Varenna
2. Jolstraer

Healing:

3. Caile
4.
4b.

Ranged DPS:

5. Beltar
6. Nykkolaia
7. Callix*

Melee DPS:

8. Lansiron
9. Shaila
10. Galedorin

As you can see, healing is in a bad spot. We'd prefer 3 healers for this test run, but we'll take two if need be, because we'd prefer not to out anyone who fairly signed up.

We'll spend some time in game before raiding looking to find someone to fill spots, and hopefully will be going into Naxx at some time before 6:00 server. If possibly, please be on around 5-ish or so for invites and preparation.

If you haven't ever been to Naxx, please stop in a wowhead or bosskillers to read the 10-man strategies, and save us all a bunch of time tomorrow for getting as far as we can in our allotted time-frame.

*I expect Crescentwing is probably tied up with other raid engagements, so I didn't list him as a healing possibility, and instead added Callix as a slot on our ranged DPS table.

FYI - Nykkomia *might* have to beg off. Her graphics card/fan is doing weird stuff and making really, really annoying noises and her laptop can't handle Wrath, so if this thing doesn't knock it off, the extra noise when it tries to run WoW is going to make her head explode and thus she won't be much use anyways.

This is not yet certain, however, so we're going to play it by ear and hope it gets better. This is just a head's up.

And why we're speaking in third person and sometimes plural, we don't know. Our head hurtses us, precious.

And... it looks like it fixed itself. So I'll be around. :)

Spider wing, cleared, no wipes.

Plague wing, cleared, no wipes.

Construct wing, cleared up through Gluth, one wipe on Grobbulus.

All in 3 hours 15 minutes.

With that many folks who'd never seen the fights before, and a lot of us being undergeared compared to many raids' standards, that was a flat-out fuckawesome performance (to steal one of Renna's favorite words). We rocked.

Much chocolate-coated <3 to the Hivemind. Thanks *abby for putting this together.

We were very pleased with the turnout last night. One-shotting Gluth and Two-shotting Grobby REALLY made me happy.

Overall, not much more we could do better outside of gear and the healing situation (sadly, Hiljanus was only subbing for us, bless him though!). All but two of our DPS were right at or above the 1800 mark, and we're confident that some gear and practice will put the other two right there with the rest. =D

We'll probably have another sign-up later tonight, so if interested next Saturday, feel free to sign!

It was an awful lot of kickass, folks. The Gluth one-shot in particular impressed the hell out of me, and I think if we'd given a better fight explanation before Grobbulus we might have taken him out on the first try as well. Very very pro.

Like the original *abby said, definitely expect more next week.

I don't know what it is, but you two are like a good-luck ticket when it comes to raiding, no matter what. I think a bit of your crazy hivemind melding spills over to the rest of us and it gives us an invisible buff called "Facerocking".

Either way, the optimism is hueg, and I'm glad I got to be a part of things. Going to spend some time this week toying with the spec to push my DPS above the margin (I'm one of them lacking, though partly just due to mediocre gear).

I have a question, speaking of which, for knowledgeable Rogues: Is it possibly worth it, even if you've got Sword Specialization, to still use an offhand dagger if it's absurdly fast (Librarian's Paper Cutter)?
