I successfully floated down the Columbia. You see that there? Five people in fair health. All of us. Shael, Norra, Avers, Nerida, and Cliff.

Cliff is a distant cousin.

Norra got dysentery twice. Avers got cholera once. Cliff broke his arm and got a snake bite, clearly accident prone.

We also had three wagon fires. THREE. Avers, I'm looking at you here. It's your fault that everyone was naked when we got to Oregon.

I am not in this list.

Obviously the game is broken

Tried again, and in noteworthy order:

Laurus had typhiod twice, or maybe just one long bout of it.
5/6 sets of clothing stolen.
ALL OF MY FUCKING OXEN STOLEN.

Stopped to trade for oxen, finally got one after seven days of trading. One ox. Moving speed: FIVE MILES PER DAY.
Laurus breaks his leg, probably from kicking the ox for being slow.
Shad had cholera.

MY NEW OX GETS STOLEN.

Back to trading for another new ox. I traded for two months, and wasn't able to find another. Three weeks after the food ran out, these messages started:

Kiel has a fever.
Shad has exhaustion.
Sky has exhaustion.
Sky has died.
Shad has died.
Laurus has exhaustion.
Kiel has died.
Laurus has died.
Fells has Typhoid.
Fells has died.

SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN FELLS CAN'T HAVE HER OXCOWS, LAURUS. EVERYBODY DIES.

Shoulda been a carpenter.

Did Sky die first because you other fuckers ate her?

Clearly she was just the exhaustedest.
