Patch 3.1 introduced a Glyph of Envenom (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=45908#comments) that appears to be learned from a random book drop. Unfortunately, this glyph is completely non-functional. Blizzard introduced it on the PTR, then when they realized how OP it was for certain rogue specs, replaced it with a talent in the Assassination tree.

So, rogues, don't buy this glyph if you see it on the AH; scribes, if you learn the glyph from a book, ticket it as it's a total waste of money.

Ah great. So much for Envenom being awesome now.

Envenom's still pretty awesome as long as you take Vile Poisons - IE, primarily for Mutilate builds. There's actually a variant Combat build right now, 18/51/2, that trades off full Relentless Strikes for 3/3 VP and uses Envenom instead of Evisc. It's supposed to have a higher potential DPS than standard 15/51/5 or 7/51/13, but it's much harder to pull off properly cause you can't depend on energy gain from RS, so I'm sticking with 15/51/5 until I'm more comfortable with Combat.

Meanwhile, with the new Master Poisoner Envenom is of course the bomb diggity for Muti.

That's cool at least. I could stand to give this a shot at this point, if I ever decide to dual-spec on rogue. With DK, now I'm actually getting used to taking advantage of attacks that utilize existing conditions you've placed prior (as opposed to your standard 22222). It's a fighting style that keeps one's attention.
