I don't think it'll let you keep a race across a faction move. T_T (OH GOD I would make an Alliance troll in a heartbeat)

D: Yeah, rereading it, I think you're right. I mean, that's kinda cool and kinda not cool at the same time. I'd love to play Kylee (Who is Bellesta's medic and an NPC who's been seeing a lot of use lately, tauren shaman/druid/something.) around my alliance people, but again, as a -member- of the alliance? Errrrgh...

The impression I get is that it may be implemented sort of the same way free character transfers are (only with a cost); only available on servers where there's a huge factional imbalance, and the switch accessible only to the minority side. That, at least, seems like the wise way to do it. Otherwise I see this somehow being highly exploitable.

They'd never let you keep your race. Battlegrounds would end up being a royal mess.

Granted, if they did actually let you keep your race, it would be funny as hell. The rage would be epic.

I'm just hoping this will let me move my druid and hunter to Horde-side so they can start anew and away from all the upset and drama that wound up attached to the two of them.

Not that you guys aren't fun or anything...just there's a whole lot of angst wound up in those two as Alliance that I'd really like to shed if possible.

I very highly doubt it will allow you to keep your character's race. Race/faction specific gear, achievements, and spells are much more uncertain, though.
