The original footage of the moon landing has been deleted, Nasa admits. There is newer, higher quality versions of the landing, but I still can't believe they actually deleted the original footage.

Cue the landing-was-faked conspiracy theorists with some cockamamie diatribe about how there was never that footage to begin with.

Seriously, though, it sounds like someone made the fluke of a lifetime in filing it away as stock film to be overwritten as necessary. Those poor bastards.

My grandpa was on the reservation (Shut up, I know Seminoles are Floridian! It's my story though!) in the New Mexico desert when they enacted the moon landing. Men in black convinced him it was the peyote, then had him probed by (legal) Aliens for good measure.

To this day, he blames Loche.

I'll bet they recorded Charlie's Angels reruns over it.
