Wildfire Riders

You'll have to forgive me if this sounds as though I'm ranting.

I've noticed a few things about my process of Rping. I'm not a very good Rper and I'm sure others would argue this but I see my self as an utter noob when it comes to the subject. I'm not good at writing and I'm not good with grammar or description.

I've been in a slump for the last.....few months with my role-play and I can't get back into it. I've tried my hardest to do so and it just doesn't want to come. I'm not a talkative person and this is probably the reason behind the fact that I can't get into Takani much anymore. I'll watch and read the conversation between two or more characters and try to think of something to come up with for that particular conversation but nothing comes and the conversation changes just as quickly as it started.

So...I'm taking a bit of a break. I'll be back soon but I'm not sure anything will change.

If it's worth anything, you're one of my favorite people Tak, and I always thought you were a good roleplayer. You may not have years under you, but you have skill and heart. From there it just takes a lot of time and persistence.

If you ever need someone to talk to, or wanna do some 1 on 1 RP with any of my characters, let me know. Totally up to letting Tak still be involved, even if it's behind the scenes.

Tis the season, as they say. Lots of folks are peeling away for one reason or another (mostly burnout on current content). I don't think your problem is an individual one. I know my WoW time is WAAAAY down lately, too. I can say from past experience usually interest spikes riiight before an expansion comes out again, though, so perhaps when things kick into gear and it's new and shiny you'll feel more motivated.

Good luck with stuff in the meanwhile, though.

I dont' think RP is about skill level--or good or bad RPers. I think RP is about working with others to tell a story you want to tell. Don't worry about "skill level" or the need to tell the world's greatest story. Find your voice and enjoy it.

I can't think of anything to say except <3's. Slumps happen, they stink. You know you can talk to me or Star anytime you need to.

I've been feeling the slump too. We finished the Maggie plotline, wrote a bunch of stuff together and then RL caught us. You have some great ideas and a good strong foundation for Tak. Take a break, do some other things (hurricanes wut?), enjoy Florida, find inspiration in other stuff.

Actually no it wasn't. I thank you all for the kind words and I'm sure I'll come out of it soonish (hopefully). In the mean time I'll be sitting in Flordia until Saturday drinking a 32oz Pineapple Willy's Hurricane. BEST DRINK EVER! (Even though this is really my first large alcohol intake XD))
