I tried the two-class thing and ended up finding I really didn't like it in general, so even if you don't think you'll get around to RPing the new character, it's always nice to have something for those just-in-case evenings when you feel like RPing something else.

personally, when Cata launches, I'll be taking rogue briku out for a spin. I'm gonna give the multi-class thing a shot.

See, in this case, it's just the most natural possible fit. >_>

Too bad WoW doesn't do actual multiclassing, or at least some sort of crazy mix-and-match abilities from various classes option.

(Next expansion...?)

I guess my thing is "If you stab things with an axe, why can't you stab things with daggers". You know? Or like, "If you study magic, why can't you delve into other magics". I just didn't see the point of saying a character CAN'T do it. It's one thing if personal preference says "meh", but I don't think it's something that's impossible or not fun.

I don't think anyone here is saying character's can't multiclass if you want to roll a second one. My comment was that I personally didn't enjoy it as much as I'd hoped when I tried it.

For what it's worth you did it well when you tried it? Sucks that you didn't dig it.

Personally, i want to know what failed with multi-classing? It'll make a great blog post some day...

What failed for me was the choice of character, I think. It's really hard for me to imagine Bellesta using a bow or being a 'hunter', even if the corehound pet was awesome. But it felt clunky and awkward and the RP around the corehound didn't really pan out- a mixture of some OOC dislike for the story from some involved people and the strange feeling of 'Hey Bellesta suddenly can't change shape' on my end. It was just really hard to connect Bell with the new class, without disconnecting her from the previous one.

I'm considering on trying that for Krahe, go from rogue to druid (lawl, Red 13 tigers), don't think I'd really trust the lush at healing, but I could see where the difficulty is in juggling between classes in rp, especially when it's a big jump in types.
Not being able to govern events, I govern myself.

I see that as being a huge issue. Like, "why can't rogue bricu bubble" or "why can't rogue bricu crusader strike." Some of it is going to be deal with in terms of "can't be sneaky and smite people with holy power." Some of it will just be collapsed into the flagRSP--for instance, any blessings that bricu could would be incorporated into the MOAR DPS aspect of being a rogue.
