The full suit of armor of a well-known Stormwind Guard was found this morning on the floor of Gemma's Trade and Goods. Along-side the suit of armor was her shield, and the sword known to many as a family heirloom that she serves with.
Knight-Captain Haylie-Bree Dannis, 19, of the Fifth Division Guard was nowhere to be found, however. Officials question claim the woman was pulling graveyard shift alone in Old Town, a rather large mistake, as quoted by Marshal Everett Gold.
“The typical three man patrols we send there routinely is rarely enough as it is.” he commented. “The Knight-Captain should have never been sent there alone.”
She was, however. And after an apparent call for assistance into a robbery went ignored, it's assumed the honor-bound young woman investigated anyways.
There are no witnesses to her mysterious disappearance, and all citizens are urged to step forward with any information at all regarding the whereabouts of Haylie Dannis. It is a believed possibility, due to recent troubles with them, that the any one of several mercenary companies may be involved in the crime, but while investigation is pending, no accusations have been made as of this time.
Haylie Dannis, a veteran in the war against the Scourge of Northrend is well known-amongst the people of the city for her lawful duty and apparent inability to be shaken or corrupted in the face of crime.
