I just finished chronicles of the black company, by glen cook. Dark fantasy--swords and sorcery stuff--and worth every second of a read. I'm half tempted to go
Back and read it.

The Black Company is pretty good.

Though I think that the last few books were a bit too wandery.

He writes some funny fantasy detective style novels as well.

Glen Cook is all kinds of awesome. I have the first three, and should go find the rest sometime soon.

These are some of my favorite fantasy novels. I read them in grade school, and come back to them time and time again.

If you like them, Marty, play through Myth: The Fallen Lords. It's basically Black Company the video game.
