My new favorite Warcraft theory

So for a long time, some people have latched onto the theory that the race that used the Well of Eternity to evolve into night elves is trolls, based on a book found ingame that suggests as much.

It's said that when this mysterious race found the Well of Eternity the hue of their skin changed to that of present day night elves, and they also grew taller. Now, the biggest problem with the troll theory is that they're -already- taller than night elves. Unless this was a species of particularly short troll, this doesn't fit.

However, there was a race that was likely around back then. A race that, it has been revealed, was kept by the trolls as slaves.

A race with long ears. A race that's short, with room to grow as tall as the night elves. A race that would welcome the chance to find a font of power that would enable them to dominate their troll masters, as the night elves made a great dent in the troll empires.

What is this race?



What a well dressed chap. A relative of Delion's, perhaps?

I'm not sure what would be worse for Delion's ancestral reputation - trolls or goblins. I'm gonna stick with the story that he's a fairy prince.

This theory, however, is intriguing.

I think my goblin when he is eventually created is gonna be fond of this theory and tell it to elves at every chance he gets.

Until one breaks his large nose, then he won't want to talk about it anymore.
