For Any Anti-"Twilight" Folks...

Post by Nykkolaia »

1. Nykkolaia = New Miahala

2. I'm having a pretty rough day and just saw this article on Yahoo Entertainment news, and it helped cheer me up a bit. Stephen King said this in an interview with USA Weekend:
According to Stephen, "Both Rowling and Meyer, they're speaking directly to young people... The real difference is that Jo Rowling is a terrific writer and Stephenie Meyer can't write worth a darn. She's not very good."
He went on to try to make it a little nicer by explaining why she's popular with young girls, but never to retract the 'bad writer' part. While I'm not necessarily a huge King fan, I still have far more respect for him than Meyer.

Just wanted to share.
"It ain't about how hard you can hit, but how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward; how much you can take and keep moving forward." ['Rocky Balboa']

I think the real truth is obvious.

Wizards > Vampires.

Vampires are anemic emo-kid attention whores.

Wizards have awesome hats and beards.

Vampires want to convince us that they're sparkly when that's actually just glitter from the rave mom let them go to.

Wizards use words like "expelliarmus" in totally serious context.

Vampires brought us crappy music and tight pants on anorexic dudes.

Wizards brought us dragons and shit.

Vampires are tragically sexy.

Wizards are sexily wise.

Anyone who denies this is a total wuss.

The difference is that all of those are GOOD BOOKS, Illi.

I'm still very much down with a nice read of One Fish Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish

"One Fish" is a classic, man. A fucking classic. Rashona read it to Nublet last night at bedtime, in fact.

Dr. Seuss could write better teenage vampyre pr0n than StephEnie Meyer. And he's dead.

I read 1F2FRFBF pretty often. I mean, I'm a kindergarten teacher, but still, it's good stuff.

Nope. I do wonder about Meyer, though. If she's not undead, at least she's sold her soul to Satan or something.

FWIW - Stephen King is a huge Rowling fan. I've read his blurbs in EW and he's pointed out how much he loves her a bunch of times.

I couldn't say anything about Meyer, haven't read that stuff... yet. I am cetain i eventually will. Save me now!

Sparkling makes them easier to see through the scope right before you pull the trigger.
