Hey. I had this idea, so I'm sharing it.
Define one RP relationship via song. For instance, some individuals (Aely, Arrens, Belt) are playing with Don't Stop Belivin' for Aely and Arrens.
However, the kind of relationship does not have to romantic. For instance Arrens and Rosy could be "Since U Been Gone" by Kelly Clarkson (with Rosy being Kelly). And if you're full of Kelly hate, get over it. The song is brilliant.
I'll be back with some Bricu based songs.

Re: Relationship Songs
Threnn in regards to Bricu:
Amy Winehouse, Some Unholy War
If my man was fighting
Some unholy war
I would be behind him
Straight shook up beside him
With strength he didn't know
It's you I'm fighting for
He can't lose with me in tow
I refuse to let him go
At his side and drunk on pride
We wait for the blow
We put it in writing
But who you writing for
Just us on kitchen floor
Justice done,
Reciting my stomach standing still
Like you're reading my will
He still stands in spite of what his scars say
I'll battle till this bitter finale
Just me, my dignity and this guitar case
Yes my man is fighting some unholy war
And I will stand beside you
Who you fighting for
B - I would have died too
I'd of liked to
If my man was fighting
Some unholy war
If my man was fighting
Amy Winehouse, Some Unholy War
If my man was fighting
Some unholy war
I would be behind him
Straight shook up beside him
With strength he didn't know
It's you I'm fighting for
He can't lose with me in tow
I refuse to let him go
At his side and drunk on pride
We wait for the blow

So if you meet me have some courtesy, have some sympathy and some taste. Use all your well-learned politesse or I'll lay your soul to waste.
Re: Relationship Songs
Did you just...HOLY SHIT, YOU DID. Dude. Dude? Dude! Unless you change that like right now? We cannot be friends. Because that's just mean right there. Mean and spiteful.Bricu wrote: However, the kind of relationship does not have to romantic. For instance Arrens and Rosy could be "Since U Been Gone" by Kelly Clarkson (with Rosy being Kelly). I will not change this! This song is PERFECT. Kelly hate is so cliche!
Re: Relationship Songs
So this isn't exactly a relationship in the romantic sense, but one that failed. Close enough.
Despite this song actually being about a father letting go of his daughter, but it's really fitting for Tif and Adel- what with Tif having to actually let her go, finally. Even if it's not exactly been graceful.
Steven Curtis Chapman- Cinderella
She spins and she sways to whatever song plays,
Without a care in the world.
And I'm sittin' here wearin' the weight of the world on my shoulders.
It's been a long day and there's still work to do,
She's pulling at me saying "Dad I need you!
There's a ball at the castle and I've been invited and I need to practice my dancin'"
"Oh please, daddy, please!"
So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms
'Cause I know something the prince never knew
Oh I will dance with Cinderella
I don't wanna miss even one song,
Cuz all too soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone
She says he's a nice guy and I'd be impressed
She wants to know if I approve of the dress
She says "Dad, the prom is just one week away,
And I need to practice my dancin'"
"Oh please, daddy, please!"
So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms
'Cause I know something the prince never knew
Ohh-oh ohh-oh, I will dance with Cinderella
I don't wanna miss even one song,
Cuz all too soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone
She will be gone.
Well, she came home today
With a ring on her hand
Just glowin' and tellin' us all they had planned
She says "Dad, the wedding's still six months away
but I need to practice my dancin'"
"Oh please, daddy please!"
So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms
'Cause I know something the prince never knew
Ohh-oh ohh-oh, I will dance with Cinderella
I don't wanna miss even one song,
(even one song)
Cuz all too soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone
Josh and I both agree, this song is sort of tragic.

Re: Relationship Songs
See? This. This is the song that comes to mind when I think of the Rosie/Arrens relationship.
"If I Had Eyes" by Jack Johnson
If I had eyes in the back of my head
I would have told you that
You looked good
As I walked away
If you could've tried to trust the hand that fed
You would've never been hungry
But you never really be
The more of this or less of this or is there any difference
or are we just holding onto the things we don't have anymore
Sometimes time doesn't heal
No not at all
Just stand still
While we fall
In or out of love again I doubt I'm gonna win you back
When you got eyes like that
It won't let me in
Always looking out
Lot of people spend their time just floating
We were victims together but lonely
You got hungry eyes that just can't look forward
Can't give them enough but we just can't start over
Building with bent nails we're
falling but holding, I don't wanna take up anymore of your time
Time time time
Sometimes time doesn't heal
No not all
Just stand still
While we fall
In or out of love again I doubt I'm gonna win you back
When you got eyes like that
It won't let me in
Always looking out

Re: Relationship Songs
Tif and Adel, more in the wake of Tif fucking everything up and wishing that he could start the whole thing again.
The Beatles - Yesterday
Yesterday,
All my troubles seemed so far away,
Now it looks as though they're here to stay,
Oh, I believe in yesterday.
Suddenly,
I'm not half the man I used to be,
There's a shadow hanging over me,
Oh, yesterday came suddenly.
Why she
Had to go I don't know, she wouldn't say.
I said,
Something wrong, now I long for yesterday.
Yesterday,
Love was such an easy game to play,
Now I need a place to hide away,
Oh, I believe in yesterday.
Why she
Had to go I don't know, she wouldn't say.
I said,
Something wrong, now I long for yesterday.
Yesterday,
Love was such an easy game to play,
Now I need a place to hide away,
Oh, I believe in yesterday.
Mm-mm-mm-mm-mm-mm-mm.

I'm all man and all machine, a little sicko, little mean
I rock your brains out and you're sure to be damned
I lick your little finger then chew up your hand
for that's who I am: The Biomechanic man.

Bricu and Threnn:
Be Here Now, Ray LaMontagne
Don't let your mind get weary and confused
Your will be still, don't try
Don't let your heart get heavy child
Inside you there's a strength that lies
Don't let your soul get lonely child
It's only time, it will go by
Don't look for love in faces, places
It's in you, that's where you'll find kindness
Be here now, here now
Be here now, here now
---
My current idea for Arrens and Aely:
Sons of Cain, Ted Leo
Old, lonely, and endless light. Cold morning rises from the night.
No smile smiles back through the glare. No Voice calls back from the stairs.
Oh, those wounds on your blistered feet? That march you on along that dusted street
Oh, that dust gathers 'round your head as, clean, I rise form my lonely bed
All the talking - this and that none taking me to where you're at
Oh, as fine as the day is long
Oh, my fineness, where have you gone?
And I know I'm not to sing of fights I've missed
But, alone, I've got to sing just to exist
And to resist
So you're gone now, and who's to blame?
Left down here among the sons of Cain
Have you gone on to their heavenly fame
Leaving me here among the sons of Cain?
So, you're gone now, and who's to blame?
Left down here among the sons of Cain
Oh, you're gone now, and who's to blame?
All alone among the sons of Cain
Don't lose your faith in me
And I will try not to lose faith in you
Don't put your trust in walls
'Cause walls will only crush you when they fall
Be here now, here now
Be here now, here now

Re: Relationship Songs
At first, I think this was all for Adel. On second thought, I think this is Tarquin's relationship with any and all potential hires.
Opportunities
I've got the brains, you've got the looks
Let's make lots of money
You've got the brawn, I've got the brains
Let's make lots of
I've had enough of scheming and messing around with jerks
My car is parked outside, I'm afraid it doesn't work
I'm looking for a partner, someone who gets things fixed
Ask yourself this question: Do you want to be rich?
I've got the brains, you've got the looks
Let's make lots of money
You've got the brawn, I've got the brains
Let's make lots of money
You can tell I'm educated, I studied at the Sorbonne
Doctorate in mathematics, I could have been a don
I can program a computer, choose the perfect time
If you've got the inclination, I have got the crime
Oh, there's a lot of opportunities
If you know when to take them, you know?
There's a lot of opportunities
If there aren't, you can make them
Make or break them
I've got the brains, you've got the looks
Let's make lots of money
Let's make lots of (Oooooooh)Money
(Aaaah ah ah ah ah aaaah)
(Aaaah ah ah ah ah aaaah - Di du da di da bu di ba)
(Money)
You can see I'm single-minded, I know what I could be
How'd you feel about it, come and take a walk with me?
I'm looking for a partner, regardless of expense
Think about it seriously, you know, it makes sense
Let's (Got the brains)
Make (Got the looks)
Let's make lots of money (Oohh money)
(Let's) You've got the brawn

..I'm on a roll here..
Aely and Arrens
Chains of Love
How can I explain
When there are few words I can choose
How can I explain
When words get broken
Do you remember
There was a time ahaha
When people on the street
Were walking hand in hand in hand
They used to talk about the weather
Making plans together
Days would last forever
Come to me, cover me, hold me
Together we'll break these chains of love
Don't give up, don't give up now
Together with me and my baby
Break the chains of love
Do you remember
Once upon a time ahaha
When there were open doors
An invitation to the world
We were falling in and out with lovers
Looking out for others
Our sisters and our brothers
Come to me, cover me, hold me
Together we'll break these chains of love
Don't give up, don't give up now
